This weekend I reached for Claude AI to see how it does with an SVG heavy design. It struggled with keeping things in proportion and keeping perspective. I had to nudge it and do hand edits. SVG’s are not my forte but together we brought my concept to life. I think its adorable. Check it out.

Made some progress yesterday on my blog/game hybrid. I’m thinking that the blog post will be represented by the broken tablet and you’ll need to find the key to unlock and read it, thus gaining gold and XP. The game change-log has been updated. Onward! 🐉⚔️👩‍💻

  • Sidebar now collapses on mobile
  • Categories now show last updated
  • Font tweak
  • Category pages: pulls in images and bookshelf, bookmarks (by tag), and single page if they have the same name.
  • Blogger stats tweaked (label and order)
  • Addded surprise-me plugin

I actually updated my website theme two weeks ago but forget to make a change log post about it 😊 This one was inspired by Super Mario Kart and rainbow road.

Here was take two on my blog design. I had midjourney make the logo with the prompt of “pixel art Tai Chi girl who codes”.

I figured it would be fun to keep a record of my past blog designs. This was my first custom design. Complete with falling emojis across the screen. I also really like how M.B. let’s you keep old custom designs so switching back and forth is super easy.

August 11th 2023 - Website Change Log

  1. Added in changelog link to navigation
  2. Added in video page link to navigation
  3. Adjusted home page to include micro-posts content, not just summary
  4. Script to remove height and width attributes so css can adjust size
  5. Fixed category feed link on category pages

Made a couple tweaks to my website, fixed some microformats, added in a now “page”, and replies now have conversation links thanks to this post by jarrod.

The first pass at my new blog design is done! There are still some rough spots (I’m 👀 at you archive page) but it was an enjoyable way to spend the weekend being silly with code 👩‍💻 and getting familiar with Hugo and Micro.blog. Hey Loura! if you wanna take a look.
