It should be at the top, next to the search button. However, maybe it doesn’t show if you don’t have drafts? Verify you have one and then look

@frankm I did an update and added in some keyboard shortcuts. You can bring up the menu by pressing “?” or under the triple dot “keyboard shortcuts”

@ronkjeffries Yeah, it’s a bit hidden in the micro.blog android app (only have android so maybe someone else can speak up abot iOS). Click you avatar, then posts, then on the right the drafts button. To create a draft, make a post, then click the gear icon at the bottom, then hit “Save as draft”

@ronkjeffries You should be able to edit a draft post throughout the day. Just make sure save it as a draft post each time before you switch devices.
You can limit posts that go on the timeline but it’s a multi step process. An easy way is to set up a blog category for posts you want on the timeline (I’ve used “timeline” in the past) then edit the sources under “micro.blog/account/f…” to remove your blog and add back the feed for the category you set up. Usually “username.micro.blog/categorie…” replacing your username and category name. Then whenever you want a post to appear on the timeline just add it to your category.

@frankm There should be a switch now under the triple dot menu near your avatar/name. You’ll be able to set it there :)
Thanks! It’s still a work in progress so feel free to send suggestions along.

@frankm Ah, sorry about that. That’s something I can add back in (I was doing a big CSS cleanup). Let me know if there is anything else I can tweak.

@gregmorris I think the inner experience portion that you called out, structural and behavioral, is interesting. I’m learning that, as people, our inner experiences are more varied than most assume but we have the structural back up (a living human body) regardless. Throw in things like Alzheimer’s and other memory conditions it can get murky.

@numericcitizen Great video. I loved seeing what you built!

@duce I’m not very consistent making a yearly app defaults post but I always enjoy seeing what others post and use :)

@mlm361 Thanks! That means a lot! I’m just writing the notes on my onyx boox tablet and then exporting it to a PNG. There is a little css on my blog that handles the dark mode (uses a CSS filter to re-color). The links in the post are HTML image maps. I use a note template on the tablet so the title and date are always in the same spot, which makes the image map coordinates similar to each one. :)

@yeinerf Thanks! I’ve been trying a bunch of different ones and I’m starting to narrow in on the green tea flavors that I prefer 😄

@numericcitizen 😆 Next time I see him at the office I just might. He’s not all wrong though, I work solo and having a tool like Claude to scaffold and build out this project would speed it up. It just increases the amount of development work I’m not as fond of (spending forever writing out specs and very specific prompts, checking over the output and changed files, double checking that tests test what they should, minding context limits/usage and all that, catching it when it misbehaves/makes assumptions) versus the creative aspect that I enjoy.

@Mantisking yeah, I’m not thrilled. It’s coming from the director… so its either that or look for a new job.

@joshuapsteele Yeah, my website theme is still a work in progress 😆. It’s on my list this weekend to fix that. They do have the Orion browser, but not for Linux, Windows, or Android yet (though they are working on it I believe)

@mlm361 Thank you for the kind words! A couple decades spent tinkering and an attitude of “eh, whatever, I’ll try it anyway” have done me some good… at least with website design 😆

@lyonsinbeta The Homebrew Website Club is hosted by indieweb.org and they list them on the events page. I like to drop in when I have time. Sometimes it’s more chit chat but there is time to share what you’ve been working on or if you’re having issues with a website they can help point out different avenues to try. Most are virtual, but they do occasionally have in-person events.
-
@timapple I’m playing around with MB Manager on android. It’s really great. I love having the share option. Thanks for building it and sharing it 😄

@Miraz Neat. One of my new goals this year is to drink more green tea. I bought a big sampler pack so I can narrow down one I like enough to drink daily.

@ross It was nice to read along with your attempt to get an LLM to build a little local web app. I haven’t tried it yet and your experience is what I expected. Framework heavy, build step driven, and a bit nonsensical 😄

@numericcitizen Love it! I enjoy seeing all the posts on your projects. And as someone who’s built personal dashboards for fun, I totally get it 😄

@gregmorris Nice! I tried to puzzle out threading with the Micro.blog API beyond just parent/child posts but never got too far.
