Current Projects

I wanted to get back to my blog more and using more of what Micro.blog offers. Instead, like I’m prone to do, I started writing code instead. This idea has been bouncing around in my head, having a windows 7 inspired micro.blog client. Once again making it work entirely without JavaScript, because… why not?

I wanted a way to manage photo collections.

A web interface displays a photo management tool with collections, thumbnails of images, and an open dialog box for managing and creating photo collections.

I wanted a way to see where a photo/media item was referenced before deleting it.

A dialog box is displayed on a computer screen showing the file name bbbb7709d.png with options to open the original, cancel, or delete the file, along with a message about the file's usage and restrictions.

A social media management tool interface displays a list of 623 people with options to unfollow, mute, or block, along with details about their activity dates and search functionality.

I’m not sure if I’ll make this one open like I did Lillihub or replace it with this.

Ongoing Projects

Cairn

Building off the quine base I made for Ink and Iron I got around to building my dream financial health app. It let’s me import bank transactions, set rule to categorize them, list my various accounts, and do retirement projections. One neat thing I added was lifecycle events that let me add in logic to my 12-month rolling average for categories. So, for example, I can list my groceries as going down when a child goes off to college, which is then captured in my projections. Again, single file local first with encrypted backups on Micro.blog

A financial dashboard for August 2026 displays a detailed breakdown of income, spending, savings rate, and categorized expenses with options to review transactions, history, budgets, and other financial tools. A financial tracking application displays a history of monthly transactions from May to August 2026 with varying bar widths representing spending relative to the peak month. A financial timeline illustrating major life events such as high school, college, retirement, Medicare, mortgage completion, and portfolio growth from 2026 to 2081.

Ink and Iron

My favorite app on my phone (currently) is a little PWA I made that’s first and foremost a local only quine. But I wanted to use it on both my phone and computer so I hooked it up to use micro.blog private notes as a backend. It is a bi-directional notetaking app. Plain text, except for markdown img tags. Since I made it I’ve added in a diary mode.
