Hello! I’m Loura and I’ve been homeschooling my two kids since 2020. Thanks for checking out this corner of my website. Here you’ll find my end-of-the-year homeschooling writeups, booklists, and whatever else strikes my fancy. If you had to put me in a box, I’m a rigorous, eclectic, and secular homeschool mom who also works fulltime. I’m raising my kids to be well-rounded, educated, and kind individuals.

It’s that time of the year when I close my books on the costs for the current school year. Take a big breath, and then in late February I’ll start planning, putting down deposits and hunting for supplies for the next school year.
The first thing you need to understand, is the homeschool âĶ

One drawback with homeschooling and working full time. If you don’t get done teaching and helping the kids until 1pm and you have to drive them to sports in the afternoon, then you’re stuck at your computer until 10pm to make up the work hours. ðī â ðĐðŧâðŧ

I’m homeschooling my two kids this year. Ninth grade for my son and seventh for my daughter. I decided that it was time to get create a better workspace for them. Something that fits their ages a bit better and reflects a bit more independence. âĶ

When I started this whole homeschooling journey I really only anticipated it lasting until High School and then off to school my kids would go. But my son really wants to homeschool high school and… I kind of want him to, too ð
